The Big Outage

All a rare eve we have to say

“We apologise for this slight delay,

Our systems are currently offline

Please try again later, they then they should be fine”

The thing we have found by doing this

The AHT will be in the land of bliss

We must hope, however, that powers that be

Do not take this as a target to daily achieve,

But lo what a magnificent time it has been

Unfortunately without either whiskey or gin,

Our trusty TL, one Vicki by name

Throughout our department, she has no small fame

For juggling all the tasks that she does

Is one fair person that many do love,

So nightly we sit here and work to our best

And try to improve at Vicki’s behest

We all do our bit to keep callers pleased

When problems are resolved we all are relieved

Eventually each night comes the time we must go

To home, to bed, whatever we know

Another day done, some successes we hope

Though sometimes you feel like using some rope

But now to relax while time slips away

For tomorrow night – is another day.
